Aginsky Datsan

Aginsky Datsan is a Buddhist centre in Trans-Baikal — temples, stupas and monks' quarters; services, festivals and pilgrimages from nearby districts and Buryatia. Visit when gates are open; silence and modest dress during services. Remove hats in temples per local rules. Well-kept grounds; photograph respectfully around monks and pilgrims. No prayer photos without consent; do not disrupt rituals at stupas. Near Aginskoye village; pairs naturally with Alkhanay National Park — both form the Buddhist southeast Trans-Baikal route. A working monastery, not a museum — behave accordingly. Offer coins only in designated places; park at gates, not on the road.
