What TrueRussia is and how you may use it
TrueRussia surfaces factual travel storytelling and catalog items, exposes map and planner affordances for route planning, and after sign-in can host guide collections, traveler stories, comments, favorites, saved planner routes, and proposals for new catalog places or routes. The experience is informational only—no tour operator, insurer, or rescue dispatch service is implied.
Account security and identity
Keep credentials private, avoid sharing sessions, and alert us through Contact if you suspect compromise. You remain responsible for activity performed through your signed-in session until you prove otherwise with information we can reasonably verify.
Your content and the license you grant us
You keep ownership of original material you have the right to share. By publishing media, stories, comments, guide applications, or catalog proposals, you grant TrueRussia a non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, adapt technically, display, distribute, and cache that content as needed to deliver the product—covering moderation, backups, search indexing (where applicable), and serving the audience you selected. This license does not strip you of rights outside the platform.
Prohibited material
Do not post illegal, dangerous, deliberately deceptive, rights-infringing, spammy, malware-linked, or privacy-invasive content about third parties without proper consent. You must also ensure photos you upload respect copyright and portrait rules.
Moderation levers
We may remove or hide posts, reject guide applications, pause features, or lock accounts when rules break down. Appearances in public indexes do not equal editorial endorsement of every claim in user writing.
Travel information is guidance, not guarantees
Maps, trail notes, catalog blurbs, and planner outputs can drift from ground truth—seasonal closures, transport modes, weather, and legal access terms change. Double-check critical facts with official channels and your own risk tolerance; our copy is not an emergency hotline.
Reliance on third-party stacks
Features such as Yandex Maps or GitHub login depend on external vendors with their own policies. If you block cookies or external scripts, map tiles or OAuth flows may degrade.
Limitation of liability
The service ships “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, fully accurate catalog data, or freedom from harmful user behavior. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueRussia and its operators disclaim responsibility for direct or indirect losses arising from site use, travel decisions informed by the catalog, or interactions with other members.
Changes to these terms and how to reach us
Site chrome and editorial catalog assets may also be protected by intellectual property laws unless we say otherwise. We may revise these terms from time to time; the latest text always lives on this page. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
