Akhshtyrskaya Cave

Akhshtyrskaya Cave is a natural and archaeological monument in Sochi’s Adler District, on the right bank of the Mzymta by Kazachy Brod village, about 120 metres above the river. It lies in the Sochi National Park orbit; the visitor route is about 150–160 metres, with a narrow corridor and halls up to ten metres high. Archaeologically the cave is known as a multi-period prehistoric site; popular texts mention Neanderthal and later cultural traces. Today it is fitted for visits (lighting, steps), usually with a ticket; the Krasnaya Polyana road and Skypark lie nearby — yet the cave itself is an archaeological stop, not an Olympic venue. It is not a secret hole without service, nor a Polyana resort ride. Confirm hours on site and stay with the group in dark chambers.
