Field bases at the head of the Aktru valley — start for short and long mountain routes.
Aktru Camp Area
Lower and mid Aktru valley hold cabins, tent fields, and canteens for climbers and trekkers. Functional high-altitude infrastructure near two thousand metres, not a resort hotel. Bases give easy starts to glacier moraines, training cliffs, and pass trails. Power and signal are limited; water from streams or taps. Sleeping here is part of acclimatisation before higher outings. Weather shifts fast; summer snow is possible on upper sections. Bases are seasonal; many close in shoulder seasons. Book tent camp spots in July and August. Respect camp rules — quiet at night, sorted waste, fires only in designated spots.
