Amgu River Estuary

The Amgu flows from Sikhote-Alin's west slope into the Sea of Japan near Terney. Fresh and sea water mix at the mouth; sand bars shift after storms. Local fishermen work the shore; it is open and windy — a working coast, not a resort cove, with long logistics from major cities. The estuary suits birdwatchers and travellers already heading to the east coast. Infrastructure is limited to the village and private lodges. Include the Amgu with Terney and the coast on a multi-day trip if you accept simple conditions.
