Arman Lake

Arman Lake is ringed by cedar taiga and low slopes on the Okhotsk north slope. Cold water, mixed rocky and sandy shores; less famous than Jack London Lake and therefore quieter. Grayling fishing; winter snowmobile access on stable ice with local guides. Arrange fishing permits before departure. Seasonal road from Yagodnoye and Susuman — local driver advised without Kolyma experience. Fords and bridges are rain-sensitive; delays after downpours are common. No permanent buildings — self-sufficient camp with tent, stove and water filter. Bears possible — store food in containers away from sleeping area. Often looped with Silakh and Jack London lakes.
