Beshenka River Canyon
The Beshenka (Bukepka) River canyon is a mountain gorge in Tuapse District, Georgiyevskoye rural settlement, near the villages of Gorny and Indyuk. The river cuts limestone and marl, forming narrows (sometimes to a metre), cascades, waterfalls and turquoise pools. Descriptions give about ten kilometres of canyon; day trips usually take accessible sections rather than the whole corridor. The place is known to Tuapse District hikers yet stays in the shadow of beach resorts and the coast’s headline waterfalls. Hazards are real: slippery rock, sudden rise after rain, narrow ledges. It is not a paved embankment — bring hiking sense and watch the weather. Popular entry points sit near 44.263, 39.206; verify the track with recent reports and an offline map. Carry out rubbish — the stream is low-volume and fragile.
