Church on the Borovichi–Valday Route

Peski village stands on the Msta between Borovichi and Valday. A 19th-century stone church remains — typical regional village temple with bell tower and cemetery by the walls. The road crosses forest and fields; the church appears from the route as a vertical mark on the horizon. Status varies — active parish or closed building; outside, the monument reads in silhouette and brickwork. A brief stop at Peski gives «roadside» Russia — a church between fields and an Msta bridge, not in a museum. Respect the parish and do not disturb services. Include Peski on an Msta valley drive or Borovichi–Valday transfer — a short off-the-beaten-path pause instead of Vitoslavlitsy queues.
