Che-Chkysh Rock Bridge

Che-Chkysh is a natural stone bridge formed by weathering and rockfall in the Chulyshman valley limestones. A deep gorge lies below; the trail crosses a narrow ridge on top. The site lies in a remote part of Ulagansky district, reached via Katu-Yaryk pass or long valley routes. Not a fenced viewpoint — safety is the traveller's responsibility. The bridge is often included in multi-day Chulyshman programs with waterfalls and petroglyphs. Photographers value the contrast of pale rock and dark river water below. Wind funnels in the narrow gorge; stones are slick after rain. Avoid the edge with children or if prone to vertigo. Combine with valley lodge stays; a day trip from the Chuysky tract alone is unrealistic without rushed night driving.
