Furugelm Island

Furugelm is a small island at Primorsky’s southern tip in the Sea of Japan. Rocky shores, low vegetation; seabirds nest here and kelp forests lie offshore. The island is protected; visits are limited and usually need permits and organised boat access. Unauthorised landings are prohibited. Not a resort — a field site for nature observation and a rare target for experienced southern Primorsky travellers. Included in marine ecology routes, not standard Vladivostok sightseeing.
