Gorenki Estate
By Entuziastov Highway in Balashikha spreads the Razumovsky estate — one of the Moscow region’s large neoclassical complexes of the late eighteenth–early nineteenth centuries (modern address often given as Entuziastov 6). On the Gorenka a cascade of ponds with islands and bridges was laid out (not all survive). Welcome.mosreg.ru stresses the botanical fame of Count A. K. Razumovsky’s seat: one of the best country botanical gardens and greenhouses; later collections were dispersed. Owners included the Dolgorukovs, Razumovskys, Yusupovs and Tretyakovs (regional guide). The palace was rebuilt; A. A. Menelas’s name appears often in literature, but as elsewhere there may be no absolute architect plaque. In Soviet times a sanatorium used the site — hence Balashikha’s familiar “sanatorium” context around the park. Today it is a large roadside ensemble: park and ponds are the main walking value; building access depends on current rules. Easy to combine with Pekhra-Yakovlevskoye along the old Vladimirka corridor.
How to get there
Balashikha, Entuziastov Highway (Gorenki estate). By car on M7; from Gorenki rail platform — a long walk; buses/marshrutkas to the sanatorium are easier.
Best season
May to October
