Gorin River gorge in northern taiga — narrow cliffs and fast current.

Region: Khabarovsk KraiCoordinates: 51°1′N 136°31′E

Gorin River Gorge

The Gorin cuts through the krai's north in a narrow gorge — cliffs above the channel, strong current. Almost no tourist infrastructure. Access by forest roads from northern settlements and by boat with locals who know fords and hazards. Independent rafting without river experience is not recommended. Suited to radial trips, fishing and quiet camps far from town — a working northern river with anglers and hunters, not a resort. Fords dangerous after rain; dense gorge mosquitoes in summer. Provisions and life jacket on boats are essential. Respect others' nets and camps; weak signal on remote reaches.
