Kamennye Sarai Caves

The Kamennye Sarai caves are a 0.17 ha nature monument in the Alexandrovsky reserve, 4 km south-west of Alexandrovskoye, carved in sandstone on the Tomuzlovka headwaters’ north slope. About ten horizontal chambers exist. The largest, Partizanskaya, is ~45–50 m long with an entrance up to 20 m wide and 3–3.5 m high, tapering inward. Obgorelaya (~35 m) is named for torch soot; weathered forms stand at the mouth. In WWII the caves served as shelter; local lore links them to Cossack and partisan stories. The site is protected — no unauthorized digging. Cars reach only a drop point; then a foot descent into the gully. For sandstone maze lovers, not prams.
