Klintsy Locomotive Roundhouse

Klintsy station on the Bryansk–Gomel–Zhabinka line dates to 1887 when the single-track road was built. The town grew around the junction: between Unecha and Novozybkov trains were made up and steam then diesel locomotives serviced. Klintsy is a classic railway town of Bryansk Oblast: water tower by the tracks, old station with waiting room, signalling posts and depot buildings. Late 19th–early 20th-century architecture reads well from platform and town side. The locomotive depot served the western haul; turntables and fan-shaped steam shed layouts are typical of such junctions. Today some buildings still operate; others form an industrial landscape for transport history enthusiasts. The station and surroundings suit photography: morning side light picks out brick and metal. Not a museum under a roof but a live station with occasional trains toward the Belarus border.
