Komarichi Ozero Swamp

Komarichi District in south-east Bryansk Oblast is known for forest valleys and nature monuments. Vodopoymennoye Bog is a regional site in the Usozha valley between Yuryevsky and Lityzh, 12 km from Komarichi. Established in 1992 to preserve floodplain lowland bog, spring outcrops and slope oak woods. The bog supports Usozha hydrology — a Nerussa tributary important for Bryansky Les Reserve. Sphagnum communities, steppe slopes and regional rare species occur here. Nearby are Studimil Bog and a Usozha sector with rocky bed and geological outcrops. Access follows nature monument rules: no fires, litter or hydrology damage. A field route for botanists and birders, not a park promenade.
