Krasnoznamenskoye Hillfort
10 km from Alexandrovskoye and 1.5 km from former Krasnoye Znamya khutor lie the Krasnoznamensky kurgan cemetery and “Krasnoznamenskoye” hillfort — local archaeological monuments. The cemetery had nine kurgans; the largest, 11 m high, bore a stone statue on top. Excavation of the big stone-chamber kurgan revealed a rare Scythian complex: a fire temple and three above-ground stone tombs. Hillfort layers span the 1st millennium BC–AD: Scythian, Sarmatian and medieval periods. Both sites are part of the krai’s historic heritage. A field archaeology route on the Prikalaus Heights — no museum hall, but a burial complex rare in the Pre-Caucasus. External viewing only; digging is for specialists.
