Tsiolkovsky House Museum (Kremenki)

Kremenki in Borovsk District is where Konstantin Tsiolkovsky spent his last years. A wooden house on a high Oka bank is a branch of Kaluga's cosmonautics museum. Tsiolkovsky worked here on monographs on rocket motion and interplanetary flight; he died on 19 September 1935. The house-museum restores study and family rooms. Kremenki is a quiet Oka village with floodplain and forest views. Combine with Borovsk, Polotnyany Zavod and Suvorov's Konchanskoye estate. Seasonal hours; shorter in winter. About an hour by car from Kaluga via Borovsk. Steep Oka bank — unaccompanied descent not recommended. Respect museum grounds. Follow museum photo rules; flash usually banned.
