Krom Hillfort

Krom hillfort stands near Kromy town, Oryol Oblast, on the left bank of the Kroma River. Federal archaeological monument; layers from early Iron Age to medieval times. Kromy is a quiet district centre; the hillfort draws historians, schools and locals. Rampart walk takes 40–60 minutes. Convenient between Oryol and Kursk routes; railway station nearby.
