M. Y. Lermontov House-Museum in Taman
The M. Y. Lermontov House-Museum in Taman stanitsa belongs to the Taman Museum Complex (a Felitsyn Museum-Reserve branch). It opened on 22 October 1976, based on the story “Taman” from A Hero of Our Time and materials on the poet’s Caucasus exiles of 1837 and 1840. The display address is Lermontov St. 5; complex tickets and information are also tied to Karl Marx St. 100. Two strands run through the museum: Lermontov’s stay and the nineteenth-century seaside stanitsa setting that frames the story. Seasonal hours are published on taman-museum.rf. Together with Hermonassa–Tmutarakan and the archaeological museum, it gathers a non-beach Taman: literature, antiquity and a Cossack stanitsa beyond the tasting circuit.
How to get there
