Lyakhovo Estate
In Lyakhovo, Domodedovo urban district, a modest neoclassical manor house survives — a typical mid-size country seat without palace glitter, but with a strong film biography. In 1984 Mark Zakharov shot Formula of Love here: the estate’s scale suited the Cagliostro story. Around 1980 the buildings still looked relatively intact — that is the look the film preserved. Moscow Region heritage summaries (mosculture) credit a Vasilchikov owner with shaping the early-nineteenth-century stone house of mature neoclassicism, replacing an earlier wooden volume; a wing, service yards and a park with ponds complete the picture. Later owners changed daily life, but the postcard silhouette remains neoclassical. After decades of neglect, emergency conservation (window boarding and roof repairs) began in late 2024–early 2025 under a new owner with volunteer projects — not a full restoration yet, but protection against further loss. View from outside and carefully; do not enter unsafe volumes. Visitors come both for architecture and for the recognisable film location.
