Nachikinsky Hot Springs

Nachikinsky springs lie in south Kamchatka near Koshelev volcano, close to Kronotskoye Lake and southern reserve lands. Water emerges up to ~80 °C forming natural basins in rock. One of few thermal complexes in the south not reached by standard bus tours. Long seasonal road; last section often on foot through taiga. Known to Nachikinskaya River anglers and Kronotskoye Lake expeditions. No infrastructure — natural pools, steam and hydrogen sulphide smell. Combine with Cape Lopatka or Kurilskoye Lake on a multi-day south Kamchatka trip.

How to get there

400+ km south of Petropavlovsk; dirt roads via south Kamchatka villages.

Best season

July–August in dry weather
