Nanai Ridge View

The Nanai ridge rises above forest valleys in eastern Khabarovsk Krai. Crest views span taiga, river valleys and distant ranges — a panorama route without city museums. Trails are not always marked; without a local guide it is easy to lose direction or hit impassable slopes. A guide who knows current seasonal trails is best. Windy on the crest even in summer; winter ascents only for prepared groups with winter gear. Plan descent before dark. The climb takes several hours; poles, wind layer and water are essential.
