Besov Nos Petroglyphs on Onega

Besov Nos cape on Lake Onega's west shore holds Neolithic and Bronze Age petroglyphs — including the famous horned figure carved near the water. The complex is protected heritage. Reach from Onega town or by boat. Final section on foot along rocky shore with steps and railings. Visits are often guided from the museum or a tour base. Carvings are fragile — stay on marked paths, do not touch or wet the surface. No flash photography or posing on the panels. Exposed shore — strong lake wind even in summer.
