Pekarsky Cape

Pekarsky Cape juts into the Okhotsk east of Magadan. Steep slopes, low vegetation — northern coastal tundra with rocky terraces and sparse grass. Views over open water, neighbouring islands and long swells; wind is nearly constant even on clear days. Windproof clothing needed even in summer. Reach by coastal road or sea in calm weather. Final approach to the cliff edge is often on foot; few signs — follow locals and stay on safe ground. Unfenced cliffs — stay back from edges, especially on calm days. Spray-wet rocks at the rim are slick; do not turn your back to the sea on slippery sections. Valued for space and little human trace, not amenities. Fits an east-coast drive with Ola and Ostriy Cape.
