Peremyshl Old Town

Peremyshl is mentioned since the 14th century on the Pra River 40 km from Kaluga. Stone houses and church domes shape the old centre. Rarely on mass routes — no queues at every church. Local history museum covers crafts and wartime events. Stop between Kaluga and Kozelsk or a short walk en route to Tarusa. Allow two hours. Modest cafés; limited guesthouses — book weekends ahead. About an hour from Kaluga. Hilly town — practical shoes; slippery paths after rain. Limited central parking — arrive early. Combine with Kozelsk and Ugra Park (~50–70 km).
