Ptichye Lake
The “Ptichye Lake” monument was established on 15 September 1961 to protect wetlands and rare wetland bird habitats in Izobilnensky urban district, ~5.5 km north of Ptichye village. It covers 282.76 ha with a hydrological profile, aimed at preserving biodiversity including threatened flora and fauna. The lake and bogs are a migration stopover and nesting site; protection rules limit economic use of shores. A field birdwatching route in the krai’s steppe zone — binoculars and patience matter more than a groomed shore.
