Mikhailovskoye and Pushkinskie Gory

Pushkinskie Gory is a district centre and museum cluster in the oblast's south-east. The main site is Mikhailovskoye estate: house, outbuildings, park with ponds and alleys where Alexander Pushkin lived and wrote in the 1820s. Nearby — Svyatogorsky Monastery with the poet's grave, Petrovskoye and Trigorskoye estates, the oak monument by the Sorot River. Roads and footpaths link sites; the full complex needs a full day or two, not a single hour. Hilly country with fields, woods and the Sorot stream. Not an indoor city museum but open ground: busy in season, yet room to leave crowds for park and meadow paths. Pushkinskie Gory exist beyond the museum — ordinary villages, churches, fields. Guest houses and small hotels; modest services, deep countryside mood. ~120 km south-east from Pskov — a 1–2 day trip rarely combined with Kremlin sightseeing the same day.
