Rabocheostrovsk is a mainland shore settlement at the channel where ships leave for the Solovetsky islands. For most visitors it is the boarding point for ferries or boats, not a standalone sight. Summer brings queues for sailings — book ferry and excursion boat tickets ahead. Shore facilities include parking, cafés, hotels and seasonal souvenir shops. Trips to Bolshoy Zayatsky stone labyrinths start here — a separate route under Solovetsky museum-reserve rules. Paved road from Arkhangelsk or Karelia; winter Solovki service is limited — schedules depend on ice conditions. Allow time for check-in, boarding and possible weather delays.
