Segozero Lake
Segozero spans Medvezhyegorsky and Segezha districts; ~317 km². Several large islands; mostly forested, sometimes rocky shores. Linked by the Vyg River to Onega and the White Sea–Baltic Canal — historically a timber and cargo route. Today valued for fishing, paddling and quiet bays. Small settlements and former logging points on shore; almost no resort build-up. Summer campers and boaters from Karelia and neighbouring regions. A multi-day water holiday without Sortavala or Petrozavodsk crowds — if you accept simple conditions and long drives.

From Medvezhyegorsk or Segezha by road to villages on the west and south shore.
