Semistozhki Grove

“Semistozhki” is a 156.44 ha regional monument in Andropovsky District, 6 km west of Vorovskoleskaya, designated on 15 September 1961. Seven dome hills with steep slopes adjoin the bedrock slope of Mount Kamennaya. Geologists link them to a major landslide later cut by erosion. The hills combine loam, clay, sand and limestone; slopes hold rich steppe vegetation. Clear-day views reach distant peaks including Elbrus. Folk legend ties the hills to seven brothers; scientific value lies in rare steppe relief. A field landscape, not a serviced park.
