Sheremetyevo Petroglyphs

Sheremetyevo petroglyphs are rock images on outcrops near Sheremetyevo village in Mazanovo District. Carved on basalt by the water — hunting scenes, animals and symbols of ancient Amur cultures. Remote — several hundred kilometres from Blagoveshchensk on forest and steppe roads. A drive, short cliff approach and shore walk — no museum building. River zone — spring high water may limit access. Summer and early autumn paths need sturdy footwear on uneven rock. Do not touch carvings or wet them for contrast — that damages surfaces. Photos without flash and without props against the stone. Fits a western Amur route with Mazanovo steppe roads — ancient heritage outside city exhibitions.
