Dormition Church (Solntsevo)

Solntsevo in Glushkovsky District retains the stone Dormition church built in the 19th century. Today it is abandoned: damaged dome, bricked windows, but the volume reads from afar against fields. Typical rural Kursk Governorate classicism: four-pier cube, апсида, bell tower. Inside are ruins without iconostasis; floors may be unstable. A site for ruin photography and understanding rural depopulation, not pilgrimage. Respect any active cemetery by the walls. Solntsevo fits south-west routes with Belovodskoye spring and chalk sites. Solntsevo — rural ruins in the south-west: dome visible from afar, unstable vaults inside. Active cemetery possible — silence and respect; pair with Belovodskoye spring (~20 km).
