Taloye Lake

Taloye Lake links to the bay and low Okhotsk coastal landscapes, near Talaya hot springs. Gentle shores of grass and shrubs; water stays cold year-round. Spring and autumn bring migrating waterfowl — ducks, geese, sometimes swans. Summer anglers use boats; winter ice fishing when locals confirm safe ice. Access from the Magadan highway is partly unpaved; mud after rain needs four-wheel drive. Last kilometres may wash out — ask nearby residents about conditions. Modest infrastructure — anglers' bases, private plots, occasional weekend tents. Not a developed beach but a working recreation spot for oblast residents and a transit stop for sea and thermal routes. Convenient combined with Talaya springs and coastal walks — half a day without overnight if based in Magadan.
