In Tim District, chalk outcrops preserve ancient plant imprints listed as Kursk Oblast nature monuments. Tim lies where forest-steppe meets steppe, with typical ravines and white slopes. Imprints appear in natural sections — no display cases or lighting. Finding them needs dry weather, a careful eye and ideally tips from a local museum. Collecting samples is forbidden: sites are protected nature monuments. Photography and observation are the main visit format.
