Uzon Geyser Lake

In Uzon caldera, subaqueous geysers operate on a lake floor — rare on Kamchatka, known to volcanologists and hydrologists. Water is mineral-rich with unusual colour. Uzon caldera is a separate geothermal area with hot springs, mud pots and brown bears on shores. The lake is visited in limited groups, not daily flights. Subsurface vents create boiling circles and temperature patches visible from shore in calm weather. Bathing is banned due to uneven heating and chemistry.
