Yarlu Valley Petroglyphs

In the Yarlu valley, stone panels hold petroglyphs — animals, hunting scenes, and symbols pecked thousands of years ago. The site belongs to Belukha's cultural foreland. Access is on foot from the Kucherla valley area or on Belukha circuits; roadside coach tourism does not apply here. The art is fragile: do not touch panels, pour sand, or take moulds. View from the trail or agreed points with a guide who knows current reserve rules. Petroglyphs land differently after several mountain days — traces of people who lived here long before modern bases and the tract. Treat the place ethically, not as a checklist tick. Weather and pass snow define the season; plan with a local guide or organised group.
