Yukhnov Ugra River

Yukhnov stands on the Ugra River 80 km from Kaluga; district centre and gateway to Ugra National Park and Nikola-Lenivets. Embankment and bridge are main stops; summer relaxation and winter ice views. Compact historic walk — one to two hours. Not a tourist capital — modest cafés, shops and guesthouses. Combine with Medyn, Kozelsk and Ugra Park within 1–1.5 hours' drive. Plan fuel on outbound days. River may flood in spring — do not descend in bad weather. Fishing follows local rules. Holiday and fair days load the centre — arrive early.
