Eastern mainline station — steppe town between Blagoveshchensk and Arkhara.

Region: Amur OblastCoordinates: 50°7′N 129°26′E

Zavitinsk

Zavitinsk grew as a railway stop toward Arkhara and the far east — small, surrounded by steppe and pine ribbon forest. For travellers — connections, overnight and supplies on a steppe route; the station matters more than museums. Hot dry summers, dusty gravel wind; strong winter frosts typical of steppe Priamurye. Links Ekaterinoslavka and Belogorsk on the steppe route to the Jewish Autonomous Oblast border. One evening stop shows the rhythm of a small steppe rail town.

How to get there

Train from Blagoveshchensk or Belogorsk; by car on the Blagoveshchensk–Arkhara highway.

Best season

May–September for transit
