Zeysky Reservoir
Zeysky Reservoir formed after the Zeya hydro plant opened in the mid-20th century — the Zeya River dammed, former hilltops now islands, banks often steep. One of Russia's largest man-made Far East lakes by area and volume. Shores mix rocky forest, gentle plots near villages and holiday bases. Summer brings fishing, boats and short waterfront stops; winter ice fishing when ice is safe. Taiga, rock outcrops and wide water. Afternoon wind off the reservoir; cooler evenings than southern steppe. Not a beach resort — simple lakeside time. Access near Nizhne-Zeysk, Zeya and roadside bases. Some shore is private or restricted — respect dam fencing and water access rules. Fits a northern Amur route with Tynda and the BAM — a fishing or overnight break after long forest drives.

Roads from Blagoveshchensk and Tynda to Zeya and Nizhne-Zeysk; some shore access only with locals or on permitted tracks.
