Kuzova Stone Labyrinths
The Kuzova archipelago in the White Sea off Kem is known for stone labyrinths — circular boulder structures several metres across. Dated to the Early Iron Age; purpose remains debated. Kuzova and Bolshoy Kuzova islands hold dozens of labyrinths on open rocky ridges with sea views. Access is by boat or organised tour from Kem only. Kuzova Nature Park protection bans stone collecting, fires outside designated spots and litter. Seabirds nest in summer — tread carefully on shore. Not a beach holiday but a short sea expedition for archaeology and northern seascape. Landing depends on weather and swell.
