A rural church in Kameshkovsky District — a typical “field” ruin without tourist infrastructure.
Church of the Intercession (Patakino)
Patakino in Kameshkovsky District is an easy-to-miss spot between Vladimir and Yuryev-Polsky. The Church of the Intercession belongs to the region’s abandoned rural temples: brick volume, bell tower and surrounding cemetery. Open regional records place the stone building in the 19th century; wooden predecessors were noted earlier. Today the roof is lost or partly collapsed, but the silhouette reads against fields — classic ruin photography. Approach via regional roads through Vtorovo or Kameshkovo; GPS knows the village but the last kilometre may be narrow. No infrastructure — locals and dacha owners only. Pair with abandoned churches east of Vladimir if you deliberately avoid Suzdal and Bogolyubovo at peak hours.
